  • Non-registration of a real-estate project

    §59

    Penalty up to 10% of estimated project cost; continued default → imprisonment up to 3 years and/or further fine up to 10%.

  • False / incorrect information in registration application

    §60

    Penalty up to 5% of estimated project cost.

  • Promoter contravenes other RERA provisions

    §61

    Penalty up to 5% of estimated project cost.

  • Failure to comply with Appellate Tribunal order

    §64

    Imprisonment up to 3 years and/or fine up to 10% of estimated project cost.

  • Agent operates without registration

    §62

    Daily penalty up to ₹10,000, max 5% of cost of plot/apartment.
