  • Concealment of property / fraud by a corporate debtor's officer

    §68

    Imprisonment 3 – 5 years and fine ₹1 lakh – ₹1 crore.

  • Transactions defrauding creditors

    §69

    Imprisonment 1 – 5 years and fine ₹1 lakh – ₹1 crore.

  • Furnishing false information in application

    §75, §77

    Imprisonment 3 – 5 years and fine ₹1 lakh – ₹1 crore.

  • Insolvency professional discharging duties fraudulently

    §70

    Imprisonment up to 6 months and/or fine ₹1 lakh – ₹5 lakh.

  • Contravention with no specific punishment

    §235A

    Fine ₹1 lakh – ₹2 crore.
